Our Story

IT ALL STARTS WITH BEPI

Eight years ago, Bepi opened a small barbershop in Croatia. He built his space from scratch, designed every detail by hand, and earned a loyal following for his precision and honesty.

But there was one thing that always bothered him: the products.

Every pomade, clay, and paste he tried had the same story — nice packaging, heavy promises, and disappointing results. Some were too shiny, some too sticky, and most were packed with ingredients that didn’t belong anywhere near a head of hair.

For years, Bepi kept testing, mixing, and searching for something better. Eventually, he realized the truth — if he wanted the perfect product for his clients, he’d have to make it himself.

THE SEARCH FOR BETTER

Bepi wasn’t a chemist or a businessman. He was a barber with calloused hands and a clear idea of what great hair products should feel like. He began researching ingredients, experimenting with textures, and studying what made a product perform — not on paper, but in the real world of daily use, heat, and humidity.

His goal was simple: create products that barbers actually want to use — clean, effective, and consistent from the first scoop to the last.

That’s when his search led him to a small, family-run cosmetic factory in Spain. They understood craftsmanship. They didn’t mass-produce formulas — they built them from the ground up, by hand, with care.

FIRST TRIP TO SPAIN

Bepi packed his bags and flew to Spain. What started as a meeting turned into a collaboration that lasted five months.

Every week was spent testing new samples, adjusting formulas, and debating every small detail — texture, scent, hold, finish, and even how the product should wash out.

They went through dozens of prototypes. Some were too oily, some dried too fast, some lost hold after an hour. But slowly, through trial and obsession, they found the balance — a formula that performed perfectly in the hands of a barber and felt premium to the client.

The process wasn’t quick or easy. But that’s what made it right.

THE BIRTH OF BARBERRY

When the final product was done, it didn’t just carry a name — it carried a story.

Barberry became the result of years of cutting, styling, listening, and refusing to compromise. The name came from the barberry plant — a symbol of strength, purity, and resilience, much like the journey it took to create it.

Today, Barberry stands for the same values Bepi built his barbershop on: craftsmanship, honesty, and attention to detail.

Every jar is made in Spain, tested by barbers, and designed for real people who care about how they look and what they use.

Because in the end, Barberry isn’t just about hair — it’s about doing things properly, from start to finish.
